A gap exists in the training options for allied health practitioners interested in practicing acupuncture. Integrative acupuncture has been developed to fill the gap between Dry Needling and Tertiary based acupuncture courses.

The tiered Integrative Acupuncture (IA) training is an innovative approach that fuses the schematic understanding in manual therapies with key elements of Acupuncture Oriental Medicine (AOM) theory and practice, particularly those found in Japanese Meridian Therapy. Our training provides evidence based strategies with enhanced clinical skills. All levels of training involve a commitment to self study, diligence in practice and the examination of theoretical and practical competencies.

Paula also offers one and two day workshops as updates for those already trained in acupuncture and dry needling. These workshops are dynamic and packed with key theoretical and practical skills.

Integrative Acupuncture Training Level 1

This foundational training provides an introduction to the core competencies needed to practice acupuncture for musculoskeletal conditions. The course is run over 2 modules of 3 days.

Integrative Acupuncture Training Level 2

This level of training builds upon core competencies by introducing refined methods of diagnosis and a more comprehensive understanding of pathology and physiology from an AOM perspective. This course enables an extended scope of practice. The course is run over 1 module of 4 days.

Integrative Acupuncture Training Level 3

This level provides an opportunity for intensive supervision of clinical skills in a clinical rather than class room setting. In addition, expert clinicians will be brought in to offer Master classes. This course is run over 1 module of 4 days.

Along with our tiered training, Integrative Acupuncture also runs a number of workshops - for more details about forthcoming workshops, go to the Workshop page.
